Beginning September 1, 2022, the Arizona Board of Podiatry Examiners is required by statute to require fingerprint clearance cards for initial applications and renewal applications. In order for the Board to implement this requirement, agency approval must first be granted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Given that the timing of FBI approval is unknown an uncertain, the Board will not enforce the fingerprint clearance card requirement until further notice.

Once FBI approval is granted, the Board will set a future implementation date that will allow licensees ample time to apply for a fingerprint clearance card.

At this time, the Board has no additional information to provide relative to the delayed implementation of the fingerprint card requirement.
